Required details for each purpose
Before launch, document the purpose, categories of data, legal basis, recipients, retention period, and whether data leaves the European Economic Area for every processing activity. Also document whether providing the data is required and any consequences of not providing it.
User rights
The final notice must explain how users can exercise applicable data protection rights, withdraw consent where consent is used, object to relevant processing, and contact the responsible supervisory authority.
Cookies and local storage
Complete an audit of authentication cookies and any browser storage. Document their purpose and duration, and introduce consent management if the final implementation uses technologies that require it.
